Lofoten's Eye
Winter on Lofoten Island, not far from the North Pole, blends magic and adversity.
During December, daylight is fleeting, often limited to just a few hours, and the weather can instantly shift from rain to snow.
However, when the conditions align, the experience becomes remarkable.
On a particularly frigid and windy morning, we set out to explore Uttakleiv beach in search of the renowned Dragon’s Eye. Nestled behind towering rocks, the puddle reflected a calmness that contrasted sharply with the turbulent sea.
As the sun gradually rose behind the mountains, it painted the sky with a vibrant tapestry of colours, creating a breathtaking spectacle that made the challenging journey worthwhile.
